Hi JohnWB,

For piracy reasons I need to leave that guide out of the tutorial and this forum.
I need to respect the Mede8er forum and it's rules. Please understand that the Tutorial was to help Mede8er users with the TV Wall only.

just a pointer in that direction:
You need to install a Torrent client first to enable Auto downloading of episodes.
There are many tutorials on the web which covers this, a good place to start is: http://tvrename.com/
Check out the user guide and forum.

Regards,
Zakkie.

Hi DcR-Nl,

Thank you for the positive feedback.

If a legit TV series doesn't exist on the TVDB, you are more than welcome to create it there..click the link 'add new series'
You first need to register as a user to add what's needed, synopsis, artwork...etc.
There is a guide to the sizes of Posters, Banners, Fanart etc.: http://www.thetvdb.com/wiki/index.php/Category:Images

When done, go to TVrename and do a refresh on that series and it will pick up all the required info.

In this way other users benefit as well.

Kind regards
Zakkie

If the episodes cannot be in separate folders, thus not having an own 'about' picture with the correct 'videoimage' for every episode, it's kinda worthless.

well it's kinda not. Yes I would like episode specific images but at least now I'm getting fan art, proper organisation in terms of Series & Season, watched indicators and probably most importantly episode specific plots.

The lack of episode images would certainly be the icing on the cake but its omission certainly doesn't make it worthless.

I think you missed a big point here.   If your willing  to have every episode in their own folders you just use Jukebox.  The TV Wall was created for those who had previously used other devices where they could store  multiple episodes in single per season folders. That is not  supported by Jukebox...yet. It looks like we will have to look at this again due to Aggregation....as it may well be easier to offer Aggregated TV support via Jukebox then inventing a whole new system just for TV Wall.

That's what I'm doing manually, although more work, but I have it EXACTLY the way I want.

True for those who had previously used other devices, can be a pain to redo everything from scratch. I bought the new Dune HD Base 3D, and after fiddling around with Zappiti for 2 weeks, I gave up, as I would have to change all of my folders and structures, because of the previous use of the 500X2, which I intended to keep for further usage.

So after thinking it over, I eventually sold my Dune again, and bought the 600X3, that way, I will use 2 Mede8er devices in the house, and can keep the same structure on my NAS, plus I wouldn't have to do everything twice, once for the Jukebox, and once for Zappiti.

Hi demonrecords,

The App is really designed for users with a large collection of Series and need a one click solution.
I update my series daily and it takes a few minutes to process and catalogue.

Also take South Park (one of my big shows)...currently sitting at 239 episodes would mean 239 additional directories, that is honestly a lot of directories to processes using your method. TVrename did this in under a minute (synopsis for each episode and all the images).

I know you have a preference to the folder per episode structure but try doing one of your shows with this App. It really does look good and functions well.

I don't have any problem now anymore doing it manually, as most of my stuff has already been done, and only adding single episodes from time to time is quite fast.

I know all the work that is behind, as I also had to do my Simpsons series collection, which is now 23 seasons long, takes a while with YAMJ.

Btw, I saw in the beginning of your tutorial that it even uses the same folder picture for every season, is that so? I have a different picture for every season (done manually of course). All my series have a picture, then every season of that series uses a different picture, and then every episode of one series uses the same picture.

So in your case, using your program, what's happening when you're on one episode and press the INFO button? I guess there comes the folder icon with the full name of the movie? And there's exactly where I want to have my about picture ;-)

But anyway, very nice work so far you did with the program, 2 thumbs up!!

Installed TVRenamer 2.2.4 and think its a great app.

However, when following the forum tutorial, I found that I'm missing a tab under preferences: Media Center.
Where I can set Mede8er compatibility.
t's just not there.

What am I missing? Any help welcome...

Hi JohnWB

Just delete the .Jpg files....then do a 'Force Refresh All' (found under the tools menu) before doing a scan.
