Title: IP Control for URC ccGen2 and On-Controls
Post by: iknowtech on August 21, 2014, 07:29:13 AM
Just got a Mede8er to try and see if it might be a good product line for us to carry.

I'm looking to setup both of these platforms in the Subject to control Mede8er x3d via IP.

I seem to be seeing some conflicting information around the forums, on how IP control should work.

There is some existing built in controls for On-Controls, but not all the commands work, and it seems like it might not be the most efficient method.    They are using HTTP commands on port on 1024, here's an example command.

cgi-bin/cubermctrl.cgi?id=1&cmd=CMD_SELECT

I'm looking to do direct TCP IP commands, can someone clarify the port and provide me a list of all the available commands?

I am also looking for the same information I have been playing with the X3D for a while and would prefer to control it via ip for URC total control and complete control. URC,s database has no one way or two way ip control options. I have a project I am trying to integrate 5-6 X3D models and would rather use ip then ir. Also URC has no ir code sets in there database. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would like to make mede8er my go to product line.

I am looking to do the same thing, completely control the Mede8er  over IP (wired) with the data files (movies) coming in over the same IP connection, perhaps a different port.

Could you please add me to the netapi group and send me the necessary information

Thanks
